Most opt to take one or two weeks off from work or their normal activities in order to recuperate. It is important to sleep with your head elevated to minimize swelling for the first week. Cold compresses can be helpful to minimize swelling and bruising in the first 48 hours after surgery, but should not be applied for longer than twenty minute intervals. Most patients require pain medicine during the first few days. Depending on the extent of your browlift, you may have one or two small drainage tubes after surgery. Is a 'heavy' brow corrected during Facelift surgery?
